Cecile Leigh (Clark) McClure, 93, of New Albany passed away Thursday morning at Autumn Woods Health Campus. She was born in Louisville, Kentucky to the late James Rowley and Margaret (Rowe) Clark. Cecile was a former member of the New Albany County Club, Lady Golfers and the Wooded View Golf Club lady golfers. She was a member of DePauw Memorial United Methodist Church, the United Methodist Women’s Society and the Silver Hills Alpha Club. She was a Republican and an avid bridge player.
Survivors include, her son James W. McClure (Kim); daughters, Janet McClure Bernacki (Ray) and Jeanne McClure Schwartz (Don); her grandchildren, Ben Braker (Amy), Abigail Braker Luegger (Geoff), Jessica Braker Thyme (Justin), Carrie Black Siewert (Richard), Andrew Black, Elliott Black (Anna), Samantha McClure Bibb (Austin) and Taylor McClure and 14 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband Mungo Wiley “Mac” McClure.
Visitation will be from Noon – 4 PM Sunday at the Market Street Chapel of Naville & Seabrook Funeral Homes, New Albany, IN.
Her funeral service will be held in the Market Street Chapel at 4 PM Sunday.
Burial will be private at SCI-Graceland Memorial Park in New Albany.
