Dianne Lynn (Wagner) Rhoads, 72, of New Albany passed away Sunday at Baptist Health Floyd Hospital. She was born in Springfield, Ohio to the late Phillip and Marjorie (Flora) Wagner and was an active member of St. Mark’s United Church of Christ in New Albany where she was involved in various activities such as the Soup Kitchen and helping knit prayer shawls. She was a graduate of New Albany High School- Class of 1964 and was retired as a Teacher’s Aide for the New Albany Floyd County School Corporation. She enjoyed playing Bridge and Bunko with her friends.
Survivors include her husband of 52 years Charles E. Rhoads Jr.; daughters, Ellen R. Kennedy (Shawn) and Alisan L. Scales (Brent); her sister Judy Owen (Tom); sister in law Kay Ann Hall (Ron); her grandchildren, Austin Shoopman, Benjamin Rhoads-Mann, Brody Kennedy, Bryson Scales and Noah Kennedy; great-grandson Abel Shoopman.
Visitation: 1 – 8 pm Friday at the Oak Street Chapel of Naville & Seabrook Funeral Homes.
Her Funeral service will be held at 10 AM Saturday in the Oak Street Chapel with entombment to follow in Fairview Cemetery New Albany, IN. Expressions of sympathy to: her church
