James C. “Jim” Harris Jr.., 67, of New Albany died Wednesday morning at University of Louisville Hospital. He was born in New Albany, Indiana and was a graduate of New Albany High School and Ball State University where he earned his degree in Criminal Justice. Jim served as a US Probation/Parole Officer in the Louisville area until his retirement.
He is survived by his wife Teresa (Miller) Harris; his son James C. “Jamie” Harris III (Amy); his sister Dana Payton (Alan) and his mother Dorothy “Dottie” (Lang) Harris.
He was preceded in death by his father James C. Harris Sr. and infant sister Denise.
A memorial gathering of family and friends will be held from 1-5 PM Sunday at the Market St. Chapel of Naville & Seabrook Funeral Homes (1119 E. Market St. New Albany, IN)
