Matthew Steven Carter

September 13, 1976 ~ April 18, 2019 (age 42)


MATTHEW STEVEN CARTER, 42, passed away Thursday April 18, 2019 in Georgetown, IN.  He was born in Louisville, KY. and was a server in the Restaurant Industry.  He was a member of the National Hot Rod Association and was an avid drag racer.  Matthew was an avid golfer and played on the 1995 State Runner-up Golf Team for Floyd Central High School having qualified as the low-medalist in the Regional that year.   He was preceded in death by his grandparents: Amos and Daisy Lockhart and John and Marilyn Carter.

Survivors include:

            his daughter: Madison Carter,

            his mother: Kathy Lockhart,

            his father: Michael Steven Carter and his wife Amy,

            his sister: Katie Wilson and her husband Matthew and their children: Joseph Amos Wilson and Daisy Catherine Wilson,

             and his brother: Jonathan Carter and his wife: Jen.

A Memorial Service celebrating Matthew’s life will be held at 5 PM Thursday April 25, 2019 at the First Church of God (2248 Charlestown Rd. New Albany, IN.)

Visitation will be from 11 AM – 5 PM Thursday at the church before the service.

Memorial Contributions may be given to the Nomad Church Collective (419 E. Market St. New Albany, IN.) Arrangements have been entrusted to the Naville & Seabrook Funeral Homes.
