Norma Jane (Knopp) Crump, 88, of New Albany passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on Wednesday, March 20th. She was the former Norma Emerson, native of Floyd County. Norma was a loving mother, devoted nurse, and talented seamstress. Norma retired after working for Dr. Robert Robertson (deceased) and Clark Memorial Hospital. She was a member of First Church of God, New Albany. Preceded in death by her 1st husband, Kenneth Knopp, 2nd Husband, Donald Crump, parents, Floyd Emerson and Lucille Walker, brother Joseph Baker, and her daughters, Bobbie Knopp and Lynn Conrad. Survivors include daughters, Vickie Fox, Lorrie Knopp, Teresa “Janie” Knopp; sons, Kenneth “Buck” Knopp (Joanne), Dean Knopp, William Knopp (Cindy), and step-children, Donna Atherton, Terri Clay (Mike), Michael Crump (Beverly), Steven Crump (Karen), Dan Crump (LuAnn), numerous grandchildren, great and great-great grandchildren. The family would like to extend our gratitude to the staff at Autumn Woods Health Campus and Hosparus Health for their attentiveness and loving care. Arrangements are being handled by Naville and Seabrook, New Albany. A celebration of life will be at a later date. The family requests that any gifts be made to Alzheimers Association (www.alz.org).
