Stella L. Cooke, 84, of Floyds Knobs passed away peacefully Monday at Westminster Village. She was formerly a resident at Hellenic Senior living. She was born in New Albany and was a homemaker. She was a loving mother and grandmother and will be greatly missed.
She is survived by her daughters- Pamela Eveslage (Don)-Floyds Knobs, Debbie Parker (Steve)-Georgetown, Vicki Kallembach (Mark)- Louisville,Tammy Heishman (Charles) Sellersburg; son- Lanny Wells (Pat) New Salisbury; grandchildren- Dawn Stanley, Melia Banet, Brad Watkins, Tiffany Rachford, Ryan Snook, Krista Coats, Heather Mason, Daniel Wells, Brittany Williams, Chad Heishman, Jake Wells, Derek Wells, Courtney Wells, Stephen Heishman ,Emma Eveslage; 17 great-grandchildren and her dog, Skeeter.
She is preceded in death by her husband- Clark L. “Corky” Cooke; parents- Rhea and Stella Linne; sons- Dale Parker and James Wells Jr.; brother- Bobby Nobles; sister-Virginia Whitson and Charlotte Crum.
Visitation will be from 2-8 pm Thursday and 9-11 AM on Friday at the Market Street Chapel of Naville and Seabrook Funeral Homes. Service will be at 11 am on Friday at Market Street Chapel of Naville and Seabrook Funeral Homes. Interment- Galena Cemetery, Galena, Indiana. Expressions of sympathy: Adaptive Hospice.
