Obituary

Glenn R. Beaty, 86, passed away Saturday at Baptist Health Floyd. He was an accounting clerk for Presbyterian Church USA and a member of DePauw United Methodist Church. He was also an Army veteran and participated on the Bluegrass Honor Flight. Glenn was an avid reader and enjoyed hunting and fishing and admired old cars. He will be missed by many.

Glenn is survived by his children – Douglas R. Beaty (Trena) and Janet Jarson (Phil); sister – Virginia Opel (Richard); grandchildren – Matt, Amber, Lexi and Kylie; great-grandchildren – Adrian and Elliot as well as many nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in death by his wife – Vera; son – Kevin; parents – Glenn B. and Ethel Beaty; sisters – Lucille Jackson and Sally Gobel.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, 10 AM – 12 PM at Naville & Seabrook Funeral Homes (1119 E. Market Street), with funeral service following at 12 noon. He will be buried at Grandview Cemetery in Bloomfield, Indiana.

In lieu of flowers, the family would prefer donations to be made to Parkinson’s Foundation or Bluegrass Honor Flight.
