Cynthia Lynn Harrell, 73, passed away in the early morning hours of Wednesday, June 10th in Clarksville, Indiana. Cynthia was born October 27, 1946 at the San Diego Naval Hospital to her father, Royce Verdun Harrell, and her mother, Betty Lou (Cavender) Harrell.
A 1964 graduate of Mar Vista High School in Imperial Beach, California, Cynthia attended Business College in Point Loma. Cynthia was active with her children in 4-H, Girl Scouts, schooling and supported her children in sports, music and art. Until relocating to Texas in 1996, she had been an active member of Graceland Baptist Church. Cynthia was an adventurous spirit who loved her family, travelling and sewing, listening to country music and spending time with her friends. She will be missed by those she loved.
She is survived by her brother, Royce Harrell (Carol); sons, Larry Hatfield (Julie), Thomas Raleigh (Mary Katherine), Royce Raleigh (Michele); daughters, Elizabeth Raleigh, Rebecca Raleigh, Deborah Pittman (Erik), Kathryn Raleigh; grandsons, Carson and Kellen Raleigh; granddaughter Pia Pittman; ex-husband, Richard Raleigh and her cat, Sassy.
She is preceded in death by her parents; son, Nathaniel Speaks and son-in-law, Andrew Duitz.
Visitation will take place on Wednesday, June 17th, 1pm – 3 pm at the Market Street Chapel of Naville & Seabrook Funeral Homes in New Albany, IN.
