Dorothy J Byrn, formerly of New Albany, died April 20 in the home of her nephew and niece in West Lafayette. Dorothy died peacefully surrounded by those who loved her. Dorothy was born and lived in New Albany until 2013 when she moved to West Lafayette to be close to her nephew, Steve Byrn and his wife, Sally. She graduated from New Albany High School and attended Franklin College. She retired from the Research and Development Department of Brown and Williamson Tobacco Company in Louisville. She was preceded in death by her brother, Robert Byrn and sisters, Mary Louise Byrn and Isabel Byrn.
In addition to Steve, Sally and their family, other survivors include Jim Byrn, his wife, Linda Wallace Byrn of Muncie and their family, and Anne Byrn Youngblood and Stuart Youngblood of Fort Worth TX and their family.
